California jobless rate edges down to 11 pct

By Jim Christie SAN FRANCISCO, May 22 (Reuters) – California's unemployment rate edged down to 11.0 percent in April from a record 11.2 percent in March while nonfarm job losses rose from the prior month, state officials said on Friday.
