The Lincoln Heights Jail is very famous in America located at Los Angeles because many of the films are shooted at this spot can be called as luckiest place to shot the crime based films in the jail for hollywood.
While Filming in active prisons is generally not permitted for obvious reasons, and as a result, prison sets are built in soundstages, back lots, and inside other locations.
The Art Deco portion of the jail was built in 1931 by the Los Angeles City Construction department. The Bauhaus Modern addition was built in 1949, designed by Kaufman and Stanton.
A few prisons in Los Angeles are currently closed, and are regular filming locations.The Lincoln Jail has got some spicy history it is one of the oldest building in the country where acuseds gets there punishment, besides this many people like to visit the jail but they permiy only on firm reason, not officially open, but often left open. There are some tenants in the north end of the building, including a City boxing gym on the top floor that is also interesting.

It is also said to be haunted by the prisoners that were totured and killec there. I was doing some research and watchted the episode of The Outersiders and I’m convinced. I’m trying to arrange a trip to go to visit the jail, but still I can’t get there so I can do my own project. I’ll continue to do research. I was trying to look here but there was not anything about the paranomal activity that is said to take place there.
