Iranian girl Neda Salehi Agha-Soltan was dead after being shot in the chest by Iranian security forces, while she was protesting with her father against Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. But her anger over the election results prompted her to join the protest.
How it happened:
Neda was near the area, a few streets away, from where the main protests were taking place, near the Amir-Abad area while she was with her music teacher, sitting in a car and stuck in traffic.She was felt very tired and very hot. She got out of the car for just a few minutes.That’s when she was shot dead. Basij paramilitaries in civilian clothing deliberately targeted her and they shot in the chest as she was oozed the blood through her nostrils,but she passed away within a few minutes, surrounded people tried to take her to the nearest hospital, the Shariati hospital. But it was too late.Iranian authorities banned Neda’s family from holding a memorial service for her at a mosque because they were afraid it could become the focus of opposition protests at they are not interested the parents her child to be burn they wanted to bury her.
