Walter E. Ellis a Milwaukee Serial Killer was caught with the help of DNA on Saturday. Walter Earl Ellis 49-year-oldserial killer has been held in connection with 9 female killings in 1986. Walter E. Ellis a Milwaukee resident terrorized the local prostitutes for long time.
Police began to focus on Ellis after his name surfaced in connection with a number of unsolved homicides, Flynn said. The chief would not be more specific. Ellis was arrested days after police matched a DNA sample from his toothbrush to samples from the victims.
Police says that Ellis’ DNA was found on the bodies of nine women, ranging in age from 16 to 41. They were killed between 1986 and 2007 on the city’s north side. Investigators believe eight of the women were prostitutes and one was a runaway.
