Red Bull Soapbox Race travels to Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Every year, auto amateurs, gear heads and adrenaline junkies construct eccentric non-motorized carts to compete head to head in a downhill battle. From the silver screen to Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles has had a passion for all things automotive from the very beginning.

Daring enough to brave steep drops, hairpin turns and scary speeds in pursuit of achieving raceway glory will be competing. Judging is based on three criteria: speed, creativity and showmanship, so plan to add a healthy slice of style to your soapbox’s blur-inducing speed.

All driving machines must be entirely human-powered – no stored power or external energy sources allowed – though they must have a braking system.

The wacky event will feature a field of more than 40 hand-made soapbox racers, driven by men and women daring enough to brave steep drops, a 90° turn and scary speeds in pursuit of achieving glory.
