Megan Williams west virginia woman says she lied about her torture
Megan Williams, the 2007 victim of a sorted rap, torture, slavery case; is going to hold a press conference today to recant her claims. Megan Williams 22, told cops in 2007 she escaped from a ramshackle trailer near Charleston, West Virginia, where she was held captive for a week – and where she was raped, tortured, and forced to eat her own feces. Seven suspects pleaded guilty, and all but one are now serving long jail terms.
Abraham said the attackers – all of whom had lengthy rap sheets – were convicted on physical evidence and their own statements.
If Megan Williams made it up, she who deserves to do years in prison. But does not looks right here. Even if you assume that she made it up, so on what evidence did the prosecutors prosecute the case on; and why did 7 different people jump to plead guilty?
One argument is about people being forced into plea bargains based on being ridiculously overcharged. But what is surprising that out of 7 people who didn’t do anything even one of them had not stood up and said “no, I’m not a brutal rapist and I’m going to trial.
According to reports Brian Abraham, the former Logan County prosecutor who oversaw those cases, dismissed the news conference as a publicity stunt. Abraham says the seven, who all pleaded guilty, were convicted on physical evidence and their own statements, not statements from Williams. There are some psycological issues may be involved in the case according to reports.
Was She Lying Then, or Is She Lying Now?
