Summer Slam (2010) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), that took place on August 15, 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California for the second consecutive year. It was the 23rd annual Summer Slam event and six matches took place. WWE Summerslam was surprising for the return of Bryan “Daniel Bryan” Danielson. Bryan’s return, which was reportedly spoiled prior to the main event on WWE.com, came at the storyline expense of The Miz, who, per John Cena, had waited too long to confirm his intentions to join Team WWE.
