The latest media ploy of the Kardashians is a holiday card released yesterday. It’s certainly the most glamorous family photo one has ever come across. According to Khloe Kardashian, elaborate holiday cards are a family tradition. She writes on her blog that Christmas cards are really important to the family and get better every year.

“For as long as I can remember, my mom has made it a point to go all out,” writes Khloe, “whether it was a ninja turtles themed card, or bringing a Santa into the mix, each year she always managed to top the year before. I’d have to say though that our card this year might be my favorite.”

The card interests only for its Addams family aesthetic, but also because it may help reignite a fading tradition. It presents an opportunity to reflect on brand-building opportunities that can be easily forgotten. A personally signed holiday card is an easy way to establish contact with your extended network, and it’s worth it to consider the medium.
